As the name implies It is also know an VMAX OFF, this option allows the tuner to activate or deactivate the speed limit that manufacturers enter in many cars. Start/Stop Disable
Start/Stop or Autostop or ESS, or Idle Stop & Go is a system on a majority of modern cars which cuts the engine off when the car is stationary in order to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, some likes it, others hate it. For those of you that hate it Quantum Tuning can offer a start-stop disable service. By changing the coding inside the ECU we can fully deactivate the start/stop system. All hardware can remain in place, it will simply be electronically disabled, giving you back full control of your engine (within legal limitation)
ECU Checksums Correction
A checksum is a value that is calculated from a block of digital data with the scope of being used in the future to verify if this data has been modified in any way. LAMBDA / O2 Solution (DECAT)
When decatting a petrol vehicle it is likely an engine management light will be illuminated and a fault code for cat efficiency will be stored inside the ECU memory. Performance Gauge
Performance Gauge is a Multi-Function digital vent gauge displays critical vehicle metrics like coolant temp, intake air temp, ignition timing, speed, RPM with shift light, and battery voltage - as well as peak recall all modes. Quantum Tuning offers adjustment of the digital performance meters (BMW / Mini / VAG ) that display the power and torque in real time.
Engine Rev Limiter
A limiter prevents a vehicle's engine from being pushed beyond the manufacturer's limit, known as the redline (literally the red line marked on the tachometer). Quantum Tuning offers solutions to adjust the engine speed limiter from your engine to any desired value (within legal limitations)
Hard Cut - Rev Limiter
Hard Cut Limiter cuts fuel at the set RPM limit. This changes how the engine behaves and changes the sound of the vehicle at the RPM limit. With the manufactures RPM limit, a diesel car will hit the limit and will stay at the exact point until the driver takes his foot off the gas pedal. Quantum Tuning Motorsport rev limiter allows to reach the actual engine speed limiter without prelimiting the engine power output first. This way all the engine power stays available which allows better acceleration and a true motorsport experience (within legal limitations)
Swirl Flaps Intake
Swirl flap position is adjusted by an electrical or vacuum-actuated servo mechanism which is under the control of the engine management system (ECU). In a typical implementation the flaps will be closed at idle speed, creating additional turbulence in the intake. As engine speed increases, the flaps are gradually, they are parallel to the airflow and present virtually no resistance. When removing the intake swirl flaps it is important to disable the related swirl flap functions correctly within the ECU software to prevent associated fault codes (within legal limitations)
Adblue (SCR) Solution
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) also known as Adblue System, which is a technology used for reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) from the exhaust gas of diesel engines. It's based on AdBlue - also called diesel exhaust fluid - a 32.5% urea solution in purified water, which is injected into the exhaust pipe. By careful recalibration of the Engine Control Unit (ECU) data, we can disable or delete the DTC's & various functions of the Adblue OR SCR System (within legal limitations)
